Abstract


Osteoporotic fractures are a common and important cause of disability and death worldwide. Antiresorptive agents like the bisphosphonates or the oestrogen analogues have been shown in large randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to significantly reduce the rate of osteoporotic fractures.
