Abstract

A body of evidence exists concerning the involvement of oxidative stress (OS) in the aetiology of diabetes and its later complications, of which diabetic foot ulcer is one.1 OS arises in cells and tissues through the increased production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and/or from decreases in the antioxidant defence system.
