Abstract

The second issue of the new JEMDSA has arrived, and in more
than one way sets a new benchmark for what we can expect from our journal in future. It is indeed a bumper issue, larger and more diverse than any previous issue of the journal. It is balanced, both in its representation of the various sections of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and also in its format which includes long and short clinical review articles, case histories, a review of a basic scientific nature, an educational article, comments on a clinical trial, a protocol for debate, and of course, original research papers. Finally, the articles are of high scientific quality, often authored by local experts and opinion leaders in the field.
